Kata Juhász choreographer – dancer

Ice-skated in her childhood and later studied classical ballet and modern dance at Budapest. Appeared on stage in Budapest, dancing in musicals at the same time as graduating as a doctor from Medical University. She studied classical and Graham technique in Columbus, Ohio in 1992. Became familiar with contemporary dance on the Tanzwochen in Vienna and during scholarships in Paris and at the Centre National de la Danse Contemporaine in Angers. In 1998 she participated in Dance Web Scholarship Programme in Vienna.

In 1998, together with its eponym, founded of the Hungarian Pal Frenak Company and she was a dancer of it until 2006. She has been teaching dance anatomy and contemporary dance since 1996 all over Hungary and in several countries: Japan, Germany, France, and Russia. She is a Pilates (BASI) teacher as well. She was touring with her own choreographic works in Skopje, Cairo, Warsaw and Gdansk. She has got the price of Viktor Fülöp from the Hungarian Cultural Ministry in 2008.
